Based on the Minister of Social Affairs RI decree number: 66/HUK/1998 on organization structure and management of the NVRC, the organization, status, task, and function of NVRC are as follows:

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

STATUS
The NVRC is the technical (practical) implementation unit in the field of vocational rehabilitation for disabled people, subordinate and responsible to the Ministry of Social Affairs with the status of echelon IIa.

The NVRC headed by a director is controlled and supervised by the Directorat General os Social Rehabilitation and Service, Ministry of Social Affairs, Republic of Indonesia.

THE MAIN TASK
The main task and function of the NVRC is to conduct advanced vocationall rehabilitation services for people with disabilities from regional rehabilitation centres (PSBD) for the physically disabled, sheltered workshop (LBK) and others. The NVRC also conduct staff training and research and development in the field of rehabilitation for people with disabilities.

FUNCTION
1. Conducting program planning, vocational evaluation, vocational training and job     placement and aftercare activities.
2. Conducting program planning, training evaluation, prosthetic and orthotic      technique training, and general technique training for rehabilitation workers.
3. Conducting and research and development of vocational rehabilitation     programs, instructors, and job placement and aftercare.
4. Conducting program planning, program evaluation, report making,     administration affairs, logistic, public relation, personel, and financial activities.
