The Third Country Training Program on Vocational Rehabilitation for Persons with Disabilities (Third Course) in NVRC Cibinong - Bogor West Java from October 19 to November 29, 2008

Purpose
The Purpose of the course is to provide the participants from developing countries with necessary knowledge and appropriate technique in the field of vocational rehabilitation for persons with disabilities (PWD s).

Objectives
At the end of the Course, the participants are expected to have:

• Developed capacity building necessary in the field of management and technical implementation of social and vocational rehabilitation in third countries;
• Promoted mutual understanding and solidarity among developing  countries;
• Have an understanding on current situation of social and vocational rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities in Indonesia;
• Exchanged ideas, information and experience among themselves related to social and vocational rehabilitation for persons with disabilities;
• Improved the knowledge and skill of participants as well as to develop ability to solve common problem faced by developing countries;
• Enhanced social welfare condition of persons with disabilities through developing system of rehabilitation services encompasses medical, psychological, social and vocational aspects;
• Strengthened a good cooperation and solid relationship between Indonesia and Asia, Pacific and Africa countries also among the participants;

Organization of the Course

The course is sponsored by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia under the Third Country Training Program (TCTP) in cooperation with the Government of Japan through Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), under the Framework of South South Cooperation. The Government of the Republic of Indonesia  designated The National Vocational Rehabilitation Center  (NVRC) for implementing of the course.

Duration
The training course will be conducted for six (6) weeks, from October 19 to November 29, 2008

Curriculum
The curriculum of the course is shown in Annex-1

Language
The course will be conducted in English.

Number of Participants
The number of participants from each invited country is maximum three (3), and the total number of participants from the invited countries shall not exceed sixteen (16) in total.
