Qualifications For Applicants :
Applicants for the Course are:

  • To be nominated by their respective Governments in accordance with the procedure mentioned in the following section.
  • To have at least high school diploma/equivalent level of academic background and the person in charge of a section head level;
  • To have at least three (3) years of actual working experience/responsible in the field of social/vocational rehabilitation for persons with disabilities.
  • To be under forty-five (45) years of age;
  • To have sufficient command of spoken and written English;
  • To be the citizen of invited countries;
  • To be in good health (proved by Medical Record) in order to complete the course. (as the course involves field activities, pregnant women are strongly advised not to apply);
  • Due to limited provision of accessibility for persons with disabilities (PWD’s) on NVRC, PWD’s who apply to be participants should be person who are using wheel chair or crutches. (if any);
  • Not to be serving in military.
  • He/She is never participated in same title of the Indonesian training course

Application Procedure

  • A Government applying for the Course on behalf of its nominee(s) shall forward two (2) copies of the prescribed application form for each nominee to the Government of the Republic of Indonesia through diplomatic channels not later than sixty (60) days before the commencement of the Course.
  • The Government of the Republic of Indonesia will inform the applying Governments, through diplomatic channels, whether or not the applicant(s) is/are accepted to the Course not later than thirty (30) days before the commencement of the Course.

Submission of Inception Report

For the purpose of the facilitating the discussion in the course, each participants is required to prepare a Inception Report/ Country Report. Two copies of the report should be submitted to the organizing committee at the beginning of the course.

Institution and Facilities
The Course will be implemented by the National Vocational Rehabilitation Center (NVRC), Ministry of Social Affairs.
NVRC is the technical implementation unit in the field of vocational rehabilitation for persons with disabilities, under Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation and Services, Ministry of Social Affairs.

Financial and Administrative Arrangements

  • Expenses to be borne by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia:
    • Cost of training facilities,
    • Administrative and organizational.
    • Honoraria of internal lecturers.
  • Expenses to be borne by the Government of the Japan through JICA
    • Economy class air ticket for participants between the designated international airport.
    • Living allowance (based on standard living cost in Indonesia), transportation, study tour, Health insurance, training materials and other costs related to the course;
    • Honoraria for external lecturers;
    • Cost of printing, translation and consumptive material supplies.
  • Expenses to be borne by the Participating Countries:
    • All incidental expenses in the home country to travel abroad, including expenditure for passport, medical examinations and other miscellaneous items as well as travel to and from the airport of departure in the home country;
    • Salary and other benefits for the participants during the program.
  • The Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of Japan will not be responsible for the following:
    • Lost and damage to personal property of participants while attending the program,
    • Purchase of personal belonging and compensation of personal damage caused by climatic or other conditions,
    • Excess baggage fee,
    • Any expenses/ cost incurred in their home countries,
    • Expenses of sending or bringing of the course materials to or from the home countries of participants.

Certificate:
Participants who have successfully completed the course and submitted a inception report /country report will be awarded a certificate.

Entry Formalities for Immigration :
Participants are required to obtain a visa to cover the duration of the course. Note that tourist visa or free entry visa for ASEAN citizens is applicable since the duration of these arrangement will be sufficient to cover the whole period of the course. Taking notice or their acceptance, participants should apply for a visa through the Indonesian Embassy in their respective countries. For those participants coming from countries where there is no Indonesian Embassy the visa will be issued on their arrival at Jakarta. In such instance, participants should hand or carry a copy of their acceptance letter, which will show that the visa will be provided (it is important that without such documentation, the airlines may not allow the participants to board the plane).

Clothing:
Dress is normally casual in Indonesia and light clothing is advisable for the hot and humid climate. A jacket and tie are required only for formal occasions or when making official calls. National dress of visitors from abroad is naturally suitable. For the purpose of traveling to mountain areas,  a light sweater or jacket is recommended. Batik shirts are popular for the informal parties and social events.

Health:

  • An internationally valid certificate for smallpox, cholera and yellow fever is required only for traveler coming from infected areas.
  • Medical insurance is provided for each participant and will be arrange for the whole duration of the course by JICA Indonesia Office.

Other Information:

    • The definite date of departure of each participant to Indonesia will be informed by organizing committee based upon the confirmed air ticket.
    • On arrival at Jakarta, Indonesian official concerned will meet participants.
    • Participants are strongly requested not to bring any member of their families, because of limited availability of our accommodation.
    • Participants may be sent back home when he or she is considered unable to undergo the course.
